Our turn to go back out again. We had a complete holiday this time! Weather was still lovely and warm although we did get some bad stormed and it cooled down the last few days, didnt bother us at all, villa is very warm and has heating if required, we did resist lighting the log fire though, was not cold enough but were tempted just for the effect on the dark evenings :)

The house is all packed up now but we will be off out again next May to get it ready for next seasons guests.

Amazing villa - loved sitting on the top balcony watching the sun rise and set. Outdoor kitchen and BBQ very well used! Loved St. Thomas beach the most (10 mins drive away). Had the entertainment of your very own pet pig (escaped from nearby farm!) Weather great 30 - 40C every day. Fourth time to Kefalonia. Best villa by far.

Great time apart from neighbour who asked if children could be quiet between 2-5pm (not unreasonable at all!) on the first day. Cavo Liakas os ok but not the best by a long way. The Olive Grove is great. Lidls was a find as local minimarket is expensive. Great villa. Lovely location. Try to find glass bottom boat trip for Argostoli - expensive but unforgetable day out, saw dolphins in wild. Lots of wine and BBQ's. We had a lovely time, thank you!

Fab time fantastic villa enjoying the House Martins nesting fascinating. Lovely views. Swam with turtles 10 yards away. Road horses. Hired boat. Had a lesson on kef meat pie! Fab time will be back.

Great villa, very well equipped, excellent BBQ and pool area. Best eating place is Cavo Liakas in the village. Very good food & service also very reasonably priced. Also try Waterways at Spartia Beach - excellent fish. Olive Grove had good food but verypoor service - waiters were more interested in serving a party of their friends.
Lots of excellent scenery reached on very interesting roads. Make sure to visit Assos & Fiskardo & also Mellisini Lake and Drogaroti Caves are well worht a visit. Best place to buy meat, fish, fruit & veg is Argostoli market open everyday. Weather has been excellent got hotter everyday. Thanks Rachel, Marilyn and co for everything & hope everyone else enjoys it here as much as we have.

Working holiday for us!
Lots of maintenance done, railing painting especially!
Green wind up awning put up.
New outdoor furniture bought.
Blue curtains, cushions and throws introduced.
Bookcase added.
New Television table and sides tables.
A few accessories added to give a more homely feel.
Managed 2 whole days only for relaxing! But loved every minute of being ib such lovely surroundings.

No bad meals but the best was at the Olive Grove on the right as you head out of Spartia towards Argostoli road.
Trapezaki beach best for kids. Lourdas also good. Spartia beach fine if you don't want to go far. All have good tavernas. For food/drink take the main road towards Peratata & turn left at the junction, Carrefour and Lidl about 2km down either side of dual carriageway.

Smashing villa & pool area. Marilyn & Malcolm really helpful & quick to sort out any small problems, thanks folks!!!

Our favourite nosheries were:
Olive Lounge - Lourdata village. Great service, food and eating deck.
Cavo Liakas - Spartia - supurb. Little taverna on the doorstep with lovely food & SO friendly.
Olive Grove - 2km out of Spartia on Argostoli road - beautiful garden restaurant, top service & local food great & reasonably priced too.
Palatino - St Georges Castle - fantastic hilltop location, lovely nosh & friendly folks to look after you.
Klimatis - Lourdata beach front - fab fish & local food & top cocktails - the girls loved them!!!
Lorraines Magic Hill - Lourdata beach/cliff great location, great food, again truly friendly.

Great trips to Mt. Ainos (rough road) THIS HAS BEEN TARMACED NOW & Ithaka - stunning little island!!! (ferry at 08:30, return 15:20 ish, Sami)
Enjoyed exploring Livathos region & particularly excellent are Spartia & St Thomas for snorkelling and Trapezaki for swimming, lounging, chilling at great little beach bar.

Best chillout place is villa pool but there's a great pool bar/cafe on the beach front at Skala Pickiona - top place to chillax for all the family!!!

Yassas Folks!!!
The Logwoods will be back.

P.S. Cheap food/booze shopping at Lidl just south of Argostoli off the 'motorway' - all the basics here & top up at other supermarkets & mini markets.

Lovely villa - wonderful views! Fantastic weather for whole fortnight. Would recommend the grill house in Spartia - small but welcoming - simple, very tasty food & v. reasonably priced. Enjoyed Argostoli, Sami & St. Georges Castle. Wish we were staying another week!!!

Our second trip here and it was even better than the first. BBQ area is fab! We thought it was the best taverna in town. Drove to the top of Ainos - wow!
Explored far more, highlights are i) the mountain ii) Mud pack at Xi (although wouldnt recommend the beach, a bit Costa Del Sol) iii) Snorkeling at Petani & Antisamos iv) Trip to St Georges Castle although go when it's cool v) Cavo Liakas.
Beautiful villa, island, beaches & food. If you catch ferry to Lixouri can recommend Oasis restaurant next to harbour.

We have had such a wonderful week - the villa, the weather, the island! Loved the pool and garden and relaxed within an hour of our arrival. Enjoyed eating out at Cavo Liakas and on the square in Argostoli. The cove near Passada is idyllic - we had it to ourselves most of the time we were there. Ideally secluded location for seeing the rest of the island - which we have done as weather was atrocious!! (Only 2 days on beach) - Assos & Fiscardo recommended and the walk up and along Mt Ainos (allow 6-7 hrs!)

Thankyou for the cool oasis of the villa in the midst of the sunshine of the island! - it's been so comfortable & has lacked nothing.
Highlights of the hol -
Swimming in Spartia Bay with the turtle!! - sandy beaches at Spartia and St Thomas - great food at Cavo Liakas & Olive Grove (well we think that's what its called) - Fiskardo what a windy road!! but worth the hour & a half drive & fantastic views on the way. This has been a wonderful place to "Get away from it all" Thanks (lots of fish to be seen at both beaches)

Well I won't lie to you Rachel, this is one of the best hols we've had even John Presscot would have been impressed.

Recommend Captain Jerry's at Katelios & The Riviera at Sami, good food excellent service. If you need a good laugh visit Oskars at Lassi.

We left our watches in Wales & our hearts and livers in Kefalonia.

Lovely holiday & great location. Very friendly taverna in the village centre with good food. Local shops open everyday but close between 2 & 5pm. Supermarkets on Argostoli road, Lidl & Champion have great deals on imported wines if you'd like a change from the local varieties.
Fantastic little beach near Pessada Port & we recommend the sea kayaking, we'll be back!
P.S. New outdoor eating area was a lovely surprise!

We have been villa holidaying together for 10 years now and Oleander is right at the top with the best.
As so many have said before us Cavo Liakas is well worth a visit as too is the Taverna a little out of the village but superb food and service whilst fish and chips at Spartia beach "Sea Breezes" should not be missed.

The island is simply beautiful the villa is wonderful and only lacks a CD player (we love our music!) -------OH WHAT A SHAME, BUT, THE DVD PLAYER AND PLAYSTATION BOTH PLAY MUSIC CDS. V. grateful for the mosquito screens as we normally get savaged when we come to Greece. Couldn’t choose between the fabulous beaches but Skala is definitely worth the drive. Cavo Liakos is great in the village & also recommend Phaedra in Lassi.

We like Phaedra in lassi, Anti Samos. The conveniently located castle (nice shop!). The guy from cavo Liakas (of course) & Skala (hopefully not too burnt) Slightly disappointed by the lack of lifeguard by the pool. Watch out for swordfish!

Fab holiday. Great villa really well equipped, the toys for the children were a nice surprise! Malcolm & Marilyn were very helpful, good trips to the beaches.
We loved anti Samos almost like the Bahamas. Great snorkelling there. Avithos beach was good fun for wave jumping with the girls. Cavo Liakos has looked after our increased waist lines.

Mum (Linda!) 60 on 26th May!. We had a really lovely time! The Island is beautiful, our favorite beach was Trapezaki, the children loved it, it was brilliant for snorkelling. The owl and hedgehog museum was great the children (9 & 5) loved it. Mellissini lake is awesome! We hope you have as much fun as we did!

Best beach = go to Lassi and take the 'White Cocktail bar' turn off for blueflag beach. cafe & toilet.

We had a great time. Sounds like it was a little hotter than
normal (I thought it was always that hot). The villa worked great, I
think you've equipped it very well, the layout worked great, we were
certainly very comfortable. You had obviously spent a lot of time putting
together the guides in the villa. We found them very useful.

Only thing I could think of that you might consider would be some
plastic or melamine plates for use outdoor. We tended to eat lunch outside. No accidents, thankfully, and I guess your as likely to break a plate inside as outside anyway.

And thank your mother and father again for us. They were very helpful,
it was great to talk with them, excellent recommendations for meals out,
what to see etc.

Anyway, we had a great holiday. Good luck for the rest of the year, and
future years.
